Trotec T660

Released in 2014, the new Trotec T660 non invasive moisture meter replaces the immensely popular T650.

Over the past decade, the T650 became one of the most commonly used non destructive moisture meters in New Zealand and was trusted by industry building inspection professionalists as well as home owners, real estate agents, insurance assessors etc.
Well over 1000 of the T650 have been sold.

The new T660 lifts the game further.
With all the performance of the T650, the new T660 features a scratch-resistant 2.7 inch colour TFT touchscreen, with high contrast colour graphics that can be viewed even in direct sunlight.

Designed for ease of use as a "general purpose" non invasive moisture meter, the T660 is manufactured in Germany.
It's prime use is for locating moisture problems in homes and building materials such as timber/wood, gib board, concrete etc.

Simply hold the T660 against the wall, timber or concrete and the unit will scan (using the capacitance method), up to 40mm from the surface.
Where moisture is located, the readings from the meter, which are displayed on the LCD, increase significantly. (Note: Metal also increases the readings of capacitance meters)

The T660 features a user settable alarm which will alert the user to high readings. For hard to view and reach postions, the "hold" function can be used to lock the reading on the LCD screen.

An optional software package is available for real-time USB moisture distribution graphing.

Ideal for locating moisture in walls of homes, buildings and apartments, concrete, gib board, timber etc.

Trotec T610

The Trotec T610 is an advanced investigation microwave non invasive moisture meter. An understanding of microwave signals and systems will aid in operation of this meter.
Used primarily by building surveyors and weathertightness experts, the Trotec T610 is manufactured in Germany and used for locating moisture problems in solid construction buildings and floors, where the material thickness is greater than 100mm. (i.e. concrete)

When used in combination with the T660 (see above), the prescence and location of moisture can be determined at shallow or depth in the wall.

To operate the T610, simply hold it against the surface and the unit will scan (using a microwave sign wave), up to 300mm from the surface.
Where moisture is located in vast amounts, the readings from the meter, which are displayed on the LCD, increase.

The T610 features a user settable alarm which will alert the user to high readings. For hard to view and reach postions, the "hold" function can be used to lock the reading on the LCD screen.

Protimeter Surveymaster

The new BLD5365 Protimeter Surveymaster from GE Sensing, is an upgraded replacement for the existing popular BLD5360 unit.

It is a dual function non invasive PLUS probe moisture meter.
The Surveymaster is used for locating and measuring moisture problems in homes and building materials such as timber/wood, gib board etc.

Simply hold the meter against the wall and the unit will scan (using the capacitance method), typically up to 19mm from the surface.
Where moisture is located, the readings from the meter, which are displayed as digits on the LCD, increase significantly. (Note: Metal also increases the readings of capacitance meters)
The latest model now features a unique "reference mode" for non invasive measuring.
The meter can be benchmarked to a known point on a wall, and any changes in measurement wil lappear as higher or lower in digits compared to this area.

Once an area has been determined as being possibly wet because of high readings, switch the mode on the Surveymaster to the pin/probe mode (WME), and measure the % of moisture.

For deeper readings, the Survemaster comes standard with a pair of deep wall probes, which can be plugged into the side of the unit.

This unit is ideal for locating and measuring moisture in walls of homes, buildings and apartments etc.

Carrel & Carrel C301

CODE: MOIS CC-C301

The Carrel & Carrel C301 is a programmed timber non invasive moisture meter.
It is designed to be used by timber/wood manufacturers and timber plants, to non-destructively measure the moisture content % of untreated radiata pine wood. (Note, if measuring "treated timber, the preservatives such as Boron H1.2 may cause variables to the readings of the C301)

Easy to use, simply hold the C301 flat against the timber and the unit will scan (using the capacitance method), up to 19mm into the timber.

It is ideal for locating moisture in pine furniture, kiln-dried timber etc.

Please note: This unit can only be used for house inspection if the meter can be placed directly onto the untreated radiata pine framework.

It is not suitable for scanning walls of homes, apartments, buildings.
